Wyoming Community Service Providers (WCSP) DSP Banquet in Casper, WY, September 17, 2025 recognized 16 Direct Service Professionals for their excellence in care including two from Community Entry Services

To cap Direct Service Professionals week, the Wyoming Community Service Providers (WCSP) https://www.wyomingcsp.org/ hosted a gala to honor those DSPs who have shown exceptional skill, devotion and professionalism this past year.
WCSP represents 14 different service providers scattered across Wyoming who together support the lives of several hundred adults with disabilities and acquired brain injuries.
History:
In 1979, the Wyoming legislature responded to the demands of its citizens by passing the Community Human Services Act, W.S. 35-1-612. It specifically states, "The purpose and intent of this Act is to establish, maintain, and promote the development of a comprehensive range of services in communities of the state to provide prevention of, and treatment for individuals affected by mental illness, substances abuse, or developmental disabilities..."
For adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, these organizations are godsends as they cooperate with parents, caregivers, and guardians in the daily support of adults with a wide range of disabilities. Direct Service Professionals are the front line staff whose direct, hands on, care for these individuals have the greatest positive impact on their lives and healthcare.

For Community Entry Services, Brenda Phillips and Kathleen Minick have shown great professionalism and grace under stress and the challenge of long hours working with clients who really need their supervision, care, and support. We recognize their spirit and delicate care and concern for our clients and honor their efforts. It does not go unnoticed!
